about us

Kimber was founded by Nick & Robin on a sunny afternoon in Nick’s back garden with his cats and several beers. Nick & Robin briefly worked together at a well known Asian food chain & then Nick went on to be a chef at Nanban in London.

Robin stayed in Leicester & ate a lot of Maryland Chicken.

Kimber’s aim is to bring traditional ramen & izakaya to the Midlands via exciting concepts, events & collaborations.
